Happy weekend everyone!

Oh, and while I'm at it, second to last Escapist Radio Theater will be popping up at The Escapist this Sunday. It's a sad thought that it'll probably be going away, but who knows what'll be in store in the future. You can dig away at the links over at psuedofolio.tumblr.com which is still updated daily with new and old sketches. And we should be ready to see another page or two of On The Way Home in the realm of soon. Gosh, that seems like a lot when I type it all out like that. Lets see what'll come of it.

Oh, and one last clue about Monday's mystery guest before I spoil it, she's literally "everywhere."

Another Hint?

Well... I dunno how much I can say without giving everything away. But I CAN safely say that this isn't the first webcomic that she dropped in on.

Actually, they're finding out now that brain cells don't need to regenerate. It's called brain plasticity. Apparently stroke victims are able to recover almost fully, despite a portion of their brain being dead. The rest of the brain takes over and compensates. :)

The other half of the answer is that only one organ in the body actually regenerates. Everything else tends to scar.

What organ would that be some may ask? The Liver and to some extent the skin.
AFAIK anyways.

They can! Studies have shown that neurogenesis can occur in the posterior hippocampus. Elsewhere... *shrug*

The guest is the chick from Everywhere kid's comic, minor acts of heroism- I think her names Natilus?

Because the cells in the brain take a much longer time to undergo mitosis-- it takes 30-50 years for one cell to divide.

Technically, you could re-grow damaged parts of your brain... it would just take a very, very long time.

That is incorrect Question Duck.

New neurons are produced in the brain throughout one's entire life, at least SOME neurons and/or SOME parts of the brain.

Neuroscience is really complicated, Question Duck. It's still a work very much in progress.
