It'd be nice to build a house over here... a soundproof one.

italy. but italien pizza is different than american pizza.

american pizza was first made in new york city.

Pizza as we know it was made n America, if only bcuz Americans r the only people who could possibly think up of something that ridiculous. The only thing that Italians ever made was sauce, and then they put it on other things and took credit 4 those things.

All I know is that pizza rustica comes from Sicily. It doesn't use any tomato sauce because when it was invented, people weren't sure whether or not tomatoes were actually edible.

Actually, it doesn't use tomatoes because tomatoes are native to America. Pizza rustica is what pizza was before Europeans came to the Americas.

Haha! I actually just looked this up for a story I'm writing!
To my knowledge, the first pizza was eaten by Roman soldiers (well before the existence of the U.S.), and consisted of flatbread with olive oil and dried meats.
Pizza proper came about sometime in the 1920's, in Chicago. While it was around in recognizable forms as early as the 1800s, pizza was sweet, rather than savory, until the turn of the 20th century.

I did not, however, have the faintest inkling about pizza being a thing in Egypt... so I'm off to look that up now.
