Like time, this is irreverent because the rest of the universe is moving at a proportionately equal speed.

This is the kind of question that actually instills a great amount of fear in me.

Your lighting and shadows are astounding.

Considering it revolves around me, it moves however I say so.

I don't know, but according to our Geography teacher last time it finished a circle was 64 million years ago...

Think about that.

You'd need to specify a reference point first. We're gravitationally bound to the group of galaxies known as the Local Group (which will all merge together, eventually), but relative to other galaxy groups, the farther away we are, the faster we're moving away from them due to the accelerating expansion of spacetime.

Space Marines FTW!! ;p

Somethings about this site layout seems kind of off, and now I just figured it out: bright orange doesn't go well with the sepia-tone comics. I suggest changing the color scheme for the site to something darker.

Otherwise, it's a great layout! (And of course, this is just my opinion.)

Irrational Answer

Our galaxy is moving as fast as a panicked man running out of a bathroom.

Also, space marines may look awesome, but they lack the specialization I prefer in my virtual armed forces.

Namely, more dakka.

Space Marines, I hear one of our brothers need to know the speed of the Galaxy.
Our Galaxy is moving approximately 400 killameters or 900,000 miles per hour towards our fellow constellations Hydra and Centaurus.

Ah... I'll be okay. I just need to bask in the glow of the awesome for a moment.
