Hola everyone.

My apologies but I'm gonna call in sick this Friday the 13th for a couple of reasons. I've got a pile of work coming on, and there's the matter of a my brother's wife giving birth to a brand new nephew! Sooo... yeah, there's that.

Oh well, at least taking a slight vacation today has the added benefit of seeing a number 200 land next Friday. 200, I wonder if it'll be anything special...

Beautiful image, your best yet! And I love the look of the guy on the left on the bottom panel. There's a story there, though kind of a shame that the nature of this comic only leaves us with implications rather than specifics.

Don't you go thinking we didn't notice you sneak the Boy's classic "wut?" face into the big panel. ;P

Well, as a Seattle Native:
the nickname was officially adopted in 1982, after a contest run by the Seattle-King County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Wikipedia proclaims that "the name alludes to the lush evergreen trees in the surrounding area" Kinda like a partner to Washington's 'Evergreen State'

Aren't brown ducks female?

The_Hankerchief, May 12, 2011, 03 am

I dig it.

Amazing colour work!

@Twentydragon: Males moult into a 'female' plumage during the summer, once the breeding season ends. Although I always thought Question Duck was yellow...

BamBam, May 12, 2011, 09 am

I love your colour work! You should do prints...

@Twentydragon - that all depends on the breed, but I thought question duck was yellow like in children's stories, which suits him down to the ground.

's all I can say.

@Brown theory: I just figured it was getting dark. :P

Plus, the sun is on the other side, in the background, so QD's got a bit of a silhouette thing going on.

EDIT: Orrr... maybe he's just brown. http://questionduck.smackjeeves.com/comics/1133174/154/

So, she?

Y'know, I looked at the thumbnail for this comic and thought it was something for Ocarina of Time. XD

It seems that he'd most likely be a Khaki Campbell. The drakes of this breed are brown in colour and only weigh around four pounds which would be and easy weight to have on your head.

General.Hankins, May 13, 2011, 05 am

The fact that this duck is so intelligent that it can speak and be understood is enough for me, Question Duck is a rare breed indeed.

psudonym, May 13, 2011, 02 pm

A Khaki Campbell? Yeah. Let's go with that!

Is it just me or does that saddle look a little weird? *squints at saddle*

Thrudd, Jun 08, 2011, 12 pm

Weird saddle?

I believe that is a show jumping saddle. It sits more forward and does not have a lot of the extras a standard ridding saddle would have.
